Arisetec HT-400 htpc case

Internal design
Due to the relocation of the optical drive bays the internal design is slightly different compared to the Standard and Slimline versions. This is because the HT-400 only have one accessible 5.25″ bay.

The PSU is ‘sunk’ into the floor of the chassis. This reduces the height of the case by 15mm compared to the Standard version. The reason for this is that you get the benefits of a lower case without any compromises. Full size ATX motherboards are still compatible with the HT-400 series.

The only other section of the case that has been redesigned is the PCB that houses the optional VFD and the IR receiver. This is because the HT-400 comes complete with iMON inside, the IR receiver is built into the PCB. The HT-400 is available with the black RSC and the white MM remote controller.

Compatibility Issues
Not all optical drives will work with this case. It is recommend that the overall length of the optical drive does not exceed 190mm. Also, not all optical drives can accommodate the aluminium bezel supplied with the HT-400, this is due to the design of the CD tray.

As shown in the image to the right, there is not much room between the optical drive and the graphics card. So it is vital that you select the correct products for your the HT-400. The products used in this image include the Sapphire 9600XT Ultimate graphics card and the NEC-2500A DVD/RW. The maximum recommended length for a graphics card is 171mm (PCB length).

Ventilation and airflow

Ventilation has been improved on the HT-400 series. The HT-400 now includes space for one 80mm case fan (included). This is ideal if you want to optimise airflow. A selection of 80mm case fans are available at your side.
